If anyone knows what is going on with my situation here is my side of the story. I apologize for anyone upset by this situation and will make sure it doesn't happen again.

ReplyDeleteSeriously Sean, if I were in your shoes, I would seriously consider getting a lawer and taking legal action against some of these people. This is slander and defamation of character, and in the case of some Youtube personalities against you, also harassment, in addition to slander and defamation of character. Just my personal advice, because accusations like these are very bad, and hard to fight, and could tarnish your reputation, even you are innocent. I'd go after these people and sue em for the damage they've done.

It hard for parents to monitor what their children are watching on TV or looking at on the internet, don't let this unfortunate situation get to you. Though I don't know you in person, but to me you're such a good young man who has my support for you 110% all the way. This should be a good lesson for not only you to learn, but for all of us as well, young & old. Don't pay any attention to those who have such negative things to say about you or some of those who were friends who just want to smear your good name & label you as a bad person. These are people who just want to hurt you & to draw attention for themselves. You're a good man, Sean, & I mean that personaly, & my prayers & hope are with you during this time. ReplyDeleteSean, I agree with several of the commenter above, retain a lawyer and move forward on a slander, defamation of character and harassment law suit. Find one that will work pro bono so you don't have to put any money up front and pull together the evidence if you can by saving copies of the videos, comments, Tweets, blog posts and forum posts to show not only the defamation and slander in the so-called "public service announcements" but the history as well. If you don't have them, talk to friends who might have saved copies for you, but gather and save this information ASAP! Some of the videos in question have already been removed! Also, any recordings and chat logs of the Skype calls in question should also be included. Talk to a laywer and go after these folks. As GamesGoodMeBad pointed out, if they had evidence of wrong doing then why didn't they go to the police in the first place? Because they don't have any evidence and again, as GamesGoodMeBad pointed out, they don't need to call you anything specific, but they have certainly said things in a public forum that have led the public to make assumptions based upon baseless claims, which is slander. Protect your reputation and name, go after these people. Good luck.

ReplyDeleteI'd have to agree, it is hard to social network with strangers who are people your own age, sense-of humour etc... because you have to mind your Ps and Qs in every instance - which kinda sucks and takes the impromptu feel out of all interactions.
Having recently found I am now having to grown up at 30 years - its a shame and cannot network with people over the internet until I find out their age, which takes the fun out of randomly just chatting to people...
It sucks you had to find this hard way - because, alot of people are such hard bastards with anything and are very quick to point fingers...
Good luck for the future.. you have a loyal band of followers who will support you in getting through this.

If there were evidence of any improprieties it should have been taken to authorties. Them choosing to handle it the way they did makes me doubt them. It was very much an attack on you.

ReplyDeleteA)you obviously spend an inordinate amount of time on the internet...cut back your time wasted per day.
B) it's probably time to put the toys away,,spend more time working on gainfull employment..cut back on the toy facination..this collecting really serves little purpose in life.
